We have brought together the best of the mixtures from N & F Allan, Bert M Eggo & Sons, J & W Tait Ltd and Watt Bros. The culmination of a considerable amount of experience and seedsmanship has been recognised.

In developing Saltire Mixtures, we have borne in mind certain key criteria which require significant consideration at this particular moment in time in view of the challenges faced by our livestock industry.

We only use first choice varieties from the SAC recommended list and we are very conscious of the need to grow grass which will perform well in low input systems as a consequence of escalating fertiliser costs. To this end we have been focussing not only on the ryegrass varieties but on the clover varieties and inclusion levels in a bid to maximise production of both forage and livestock production.
