Agriscot Silage Competition on Stand 130 in the Highland Hall
How good is your first cut clamp silage or Big bale silage. If you think you have a winning sample we are offering prizes worth over two thousand pounds at this year’s Agriscot silage competition.
The details for the competition are as follows.

Prizes for each class
1st Prize |
10 acres of any Watson Seeds Castle Mixture |
2nd Prize |
5 acres of any Watson Seeds Castle Mixture |
3rd Prize |
2 acres of any Watson Seeds Castle Mixture |
The total prizes amount to a value of over £2000
As in previous years the silage competition is divided into two classes
Class 1 |
1st Cut Clamp silage |
Class 2 |
Big Bale (any grass cut) |
The judging will be in two stages:-
Stage 1:
Chemical analysis. All entries should be sent to Andrew Best no later than Friday, 19th October, 2012 by email to andrew.best@virgin.net .Please enclose contact details with the entries as follows:.

Entries from Stage One will be reduced to six finalists in each class.
Stage 2:
The top six entries from each class will have the entries judged on fresh samples.
All twelve finalists will be displayed on the day at Agriscot.
Before you enter any chemical forage analysis, please make sure you have the permission of the owner and that the silage is available for a fresh sample, should the entry reach the top six in each section.
