Johnny Watson formed John Watson Seeds Ltd. after having worked with Sinclair McGill throughout Scotland and England. For three generations his family has been committed to serving farmers as seed specialists from the early days of McGill & Smith, and now as Watson Seeds.

In recent years further expansion of the business has continued with the purchase of seed merchants N & F Allan, and more recently Bert M Eggo and Sons.

The business has strong links with leading plant breeders and variety trialling organisations, enabling Watson Seeds to supply the latest grass varieties and the best advice to meet the tough challenges of today’s farming environment.

As the agricultural supply trade gets into fewer and fewer hands a national privately owned seed retailer is becoming something of a rarity. Whilst embracing all the technological advances in the industry we are committed to the traditional values of personal service, sound advice and seed of the highest possible quality.
